She encouraged students to join the domestic semiconductor workforce.
Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo recently joined a virtual discussion hosted by Handshake, the largest job platform for Gen Z workers in America. Secretary Raimondo highlighted the development of the semiconductor industry in the United States and encouraged young workers to help fill the labor shortage being encountered in the marketplace.
“I want this generation to make things in America stronger, especially in the semiconductor industry,” Secretary Raimondo said. “Good-paying jobs are being created at every level of education in this industry and we need to rebuild that talent pool. Early talent is the future of this industry and at the forefront of emerging technologies, including AI and quantum computing. “
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Raimondo to look to the Lord for direction as she heads the Commerce Department.
- For U.S. commerce officials as they support domestic semiconductor manufacturing.
- For American students to pursue employment in the industries and sectors where there are worker shortages.
